Garrett was quite enthralled with this musical snowman.

Emma tries to jump on one foot, but doesn't quite get how to do it yet.

Christmas in Wisconsin 2007

We spent Christmas in Wisconsin over New Year's. All the guys went to the Packer/Lions game on Jan. 30. All the girls went to Triple Espresso - a highly caffeinated comedy (http://www.tripleespresso.com/).

The Packers won, although it didn't really count for anything. The statues at Lambeau look cool with the snow on them.

Chip and Jay with the pretzels they made.
Uncle Mark (the Elf) with the girls: Makena, Skylar, and Emma. Before Mark got there, someone said to the girls that they might get a visit from an Elf, Santa's helper. After a little bit of thinking, Skylar says "it could be just Uncle Mark dressed up as an Elf"......and, she was right.

Uncle Hip got all the girls these Rudolph shirts, so it was appropriate to take a picture of him with them.

Christmas in Kansas 2007

We spent Christmas in Kansas this year. We made a trip over to Springfield to see Debbie (former roommate) and her parents. On the way back to Wisconsin, we stopped in Kansas City and had lunch with Heather (former roommate) at Red Robbins (sp?). Unfortunately, we didn't get a picture of Heather....we'll do better next time!

Here's some pictures of my family in Kansas:

Coleton, Ty, and Carson like to go go-kart riding. Here is a picture of Carson and Ty in their helmets.
Coleton is ready to go!
Gary Sr. with grandson Garrett watching the kids go around in their go-karts.
Ty is in the 1st go-kart and Carson and Garret are in the 2nd go-kart with Gary Sr.
Carolyn with a Christmas planter and the Christmas Tree.
Mark and Jonay on Christmas Eve.
Ray, Carolyn, Daniel (nephew), Cameron (nephew), Jonay, and Mark.
Cameron, Sherry (sister), and Daniel
Christmas Day - Mark and Ray have dessert first. Thanks to Aunt Colene for the delicious pies!
Coleton and Ty opened their Christmas presents.
Wouldn't you know it......Carson and Ty are more interested in the bubble wrap than the presents.
Jonay, Sherry, and mom.
I think this is Big Gary's race car for the 2008 racing season.
Carson, Garrett, Ty, and Coleton are eager to open Christmas presents at Terry and Gary's house.
Coleton checks out all the gifts in his "cabin" (aka playhouse). Gary and Terry built 4 playhouses for Christmas - one for Coleton, one for Ty, one for Carson, and one for Garrett.

We went over to Springfield to see Debbie and we ate at Lambert's (home of the throwed rolls). If you leave there hungry, it's your own fault! Mark is showing off his meal and he really liked that they bring your drink in a huge cup!

Taco Soup recipe

A good and very quick recipe from my niece-in-law Jamie.
Taco Soup
1-15oz Kuner’s Pinto Beans with Jalapeno’s
1-16oz Bushs Best Chili Beans in Hot Sauce
1-14.5oz Hunt’s petite diced tomatoes
1-10oz Mexican Festival Rotel
1-15oz can of Corn (don’t use the juice)
1 can (approx. 14 oz) water
1 pound hamburger
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 pkg Dry Ranch mix (I used Hidden Valley Salad dressing and seasoning mix)
1 onion

Brown hamburger with onion. While hamburger is browning, open cans and put the beans, tomatoes, rotel, corn, and water in a pot and heat on low (use the liquids from the cans except for the corn juice). Add the dry ranch package to the pot. Add the dry taco seasoning to the hamburger/onion and mix well. Add the hamburger mixture to the pot and simmer until hot.
Serve with grated cheese, sour cream, tostidos, onions, jalapenos, etc.
